Internal Auditors must be prepared to face ethical dilemmas over the course of their careers. While businesses, society, and even professional organizations have guidelines meant to help navigate an ethically complex world, there is no shortage of scandals, frauds, and other ethical lapses in the news. In this presentation, we will start with a historical framework for ethics up to the present day. Then, we will explore ethics in the news and the world around us. Finally, we will provide lived examples of ethical dilemmas faced, and provide advice that helped get us through these situations successfully.
