CBANC Network and AML-ology are partnering again this year to offer the 2022 Collaborative BSA School. Refresh your BSA basics and learn tools for setting up your own BSA program, then prepare for a 2-day deep-dive into AML, Identity theft, fintech, money laundering, and much much more! This virtual event will span 3 days and be eligible for up to 6 Non-ACAMS Credits and 6 CPE Credits per day.

The 3-Day Bundle includes the Basics School on August 16th and the Advanced 2-Day School on August 17th and 18th.

Day 1: BSA Basics

This session is designed for new BSA personnel or those wanting a refresher on the basics. We will cover an overview of the BSA, what drives your program, and what to include in your program. The morning will cover 314(a), 314(b), Customer Identification Program (CIP) basics, CTRs Step-by-Step, and Monetary Instrument/Funds Transfers requirements. Attendees will be given tools to assist in setting up a solid BSA program.

Day 2: Beyond the Basics of BSA (Part 1)

We will begin the day with a reminder of the key foundations of your BSA program and how that drives your policy and procedures when onboarding customers. We will then delve into non-U.S. citizens, synthetic ID Theft, and various types of risks to consider when determining your onboarding policies and procedures. Additionally, we will cover all the key updates from FinCEN on the Exam Manual, NPRM on Beneficial Ownership, and the ANPRM on Real Estate and why that is important in light of the Pandora Papers.

Day 3: Beyond the Basics of BSA (Part 2)

Day 3 will begin with a discussion on Terrorist Financing and Proliferation Financing as these are two of FinCEN's priorities as they implement the AML Act regulations. Then, we will delve into the ever-evolving world of payments and fintech. We will also cover FinCEN's guidance on Environmental Crimes, and briefly discuss the FDIC’s Proposed Guidance on Third-Party Risk Management and the OCC's Guidance on Model Risk Management.
