As the ACH network continues to grow, legal issues increase due to outdated, weak, or lack of agreements. The NACHA Operating Rules mandate that ODFIs have agreements in place that bind Originators, Third-Party Senders, and Third-Party Service Providers to the ACH Rules. Do you understand what these agreements really mean? Are your agreements ready for the updates to Same Day ACH?
The next step is to make sure that your Originators are getting their transactions properly authorized. Fees that are imposed on any ODFI that sends an Entry that is returned as unauthorized, make proper authorization more important than ever. This session will help to ensure that your financial institution is not exposed to undue risk due to a lack of understanding or poorly crafted ACH agreements and that you are not the recipient of unnecessary fines and penalties due to your Originators not understanding the authorization requirements.
